Total Hip Replacement Surgery (hip arthroplasty) safely resolves severe hip degeneration caused by osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis (AVN), or hip fractures. The surgeon replaces the worn femoral head (the ball) with a highly polished ceramic or metal ball on a stem, and lines the acetabulum (the socket) with a durable plastic or ceramic shell. Utilizing modern surgical approaches—such as the Direct Anterior Approach—surgeons avoid cutting major muscle groups. This technique drastically limits post-operative dislocation risks, minimizes pain, and delivers an incredibly fast recovery pathway for international patients.
Detalles del Procedimiento
1 Anesthesia: Conducted under spinal anesthesia or general anesthesia.

2 Incision: The surgeon creates an incision over the side or front of the hip (Direct Anterior or Posterior approach).

3 Dislocation & Removal: The arthritic ball head of the femur is safely dislocated and cut away. The damaged cartilage lining the pelvic socket is cleaned out using a specialized reamer.

4 Prosthetic Assembly: The metal socket shell is fixed into the pelvis, and a smooth liner is inserted. The metal femoral stem is placed down the thighbone canal, topped with a ceramic/metal ball.

5 Reduction: The new ball is popped back securely into the new socket shell, and the surgical site is closed.
